No heavy weights or gravity based exercises
The essence of the Exercircles stations is using hydraulic pistons to provide resistance to a motion. When you move a piston up as in a Bicept Curl and let go, nothing drops as you would experience with weights. When you push the piston down you exercise the tricept. The up and down motion works both muscle groups of the upper arm. Each exercise is designed to work the opposing muscles in a muscle group. This is both an efficient and effective form of exercise.

The level of exertion is controlled in two ways. One is by changing the setting on the resistance knobs and the second is to try to go faster.
